Season's Greetings Drummers and affiliated

The unexpected cancellation of LACS last week was a bummer but we are on for this Friday December 14, 2012.  Open Drum from 6-8 pm in the black box theatre. Thanks to all who came out for Sunday at Foundation of Light. A lively crowd and a good time. We will meet there again on 391 Turkey Hill Rd this Sunday from 3-6pm.  Last week I should have reminded everybody that they expect a donation. One Heart is suggesting $5 per car.  We will have an envelope for the collection.  Please don't let money stop you from coming though.  There is always a little housework to be done at the end of the jam, so pitch in where you can, we are lucky to have such a fabulous space.

In other news, Saturday, Jalaja Bonheim and I will be subbing for Nana's drum class.  Here is her message:
~~Hi Folks,
We finally got our space and time issues worked out and we (Meghan and I) will be teaching a drum class this Saturday (not Sunday!) at 4pm at the City Health Club. We anticipate it going a little over an hour.
This class is for everyone, beginners and advanced. If you've wanted to drum with Nana but have felt overwhelmed, here's your chance to get a head start on some of the rhythms he teaches. Meghan and I are more or less beginners too, so we'll practice and learn together and hopefully have fun.
We were going to charge $10 and donate that to Nana, but apparently the City Health Club is insisting we have to charge $15. Not sure why... But if you can't afford it, please come anyway.
Hope to see you there!

Looking forward to all the drumming before the holidays! Speaking of which, Sunday December 23rd will be a dish-to-pass at the Foundation of Light.  Details coming soon.

Brr it is cold outside!  Warm yourself up this weekend and drum!
