SATURDAY, October 9, 2010-- 11 am to 3 pm--, Candor Fall Festival, Candor NY,

One Heart Community Drummers "Drums On the Move" and “Drum Circles to GO" community service and outreach program; we’ll set up our circle about 11 am and drum  until 3 pm and be a part of Candor Fall Festival.

We hope to see as many of you as possible.  This will be great fun, check out Candor Fall Festival, Candor, NY on the web.  It is a deep and fantastialy eclectic small community festival with a lot of varied events, community programs and different and interesting vendors all happening within that great small town atmosphere.

We will be leaving from Lehman Alternative Community School, 111 Chestnut Street, Ithaca at 10 am.  So if you want to caravan or car pool meet us there.

After The Candor Fall Festival, we will have our regular Saturday Open Community Drum Circle at 6 pm at Lehman Alternative Community School, 111 CHestnut Street, Ithaca, NY.

(following e mail from Marth Goodsell of Candor)

Kevin and Joe and One Heart Community Drummers,

After talking with Kevin yesterday and trying to pull the logistics together for Saturday Oct 9th, we decided to go back to the original proposal about having you come to Candor.

I have filed the papers to use Moyer Park in the Village from 11-3 so you can come early and leave late!  The park is to the right of the High School parking lot. There will be plenty of parking, bathrooms available at the ambulance garage, and a pavilion in the event of rain. The Village Clerk was thrilled to know you will be coming after all!!!

I'll see if we can get some local activists to help with pamphleteering and talking about gas drilling to those who show up by spreading the word on some of the gas lists.  Sue said she would send the word to local musicians she knew that might want to participate.

Please encourage the drummers of your group to come, because while we might get a lot of spectators from the community, we're not going to get a lot of other drummers with drums!

Hi "One-Heart Community Drum" Folks!,
Good drum circle last Saturday, (held in the 'Grove area' of Stewart Park, to avoid the cool wind off the lake.) Thanks to Joe for the chicken barbecue, and to all that attended!
This weekend it will be in the mid 50's and windy, so we are looking to start this weekend at 5P.M. inside at LACS, 111 Chestnut St. Ithaca. (We may move this start time back to 6-7P.M. as has been traditional for the indoor season, but that will come later, once it is too cool to be outside.)
There is the Apple Harvest Festival this weekend, (including a 'First Nations Festival' in DeWitt Park in downtown Ithaca on Saturday, starting at 10A.M. til 6P.M. for those that are interested.) Love, Steve
