Hi "One-Heart Community Drum" Folks!,
    Great drumming both at Kelli's Autumn Celebration, as well as at the regular drum circle Saturday at the Alternative school! Great times were had by all! Smile!
    This Saturday, we will be at Level Green Community, for a Halloween drum circle. (See below.) CU There! Love, Steve

    Saturday, Oct 30th, 6P.M. "One-Heart Community Drum" Halloween Celebration, Level Green Community, Rte 79, (1519 Slaterville Rd), 2 miles east of Ithaca. (Right side of Rte 79 East, 100 yards past Pine Tree Rd, (last flashing leaving town). White house, green shutters, red barn. Pull in drive, (off the road), to park. Extra drums available, children welcomed, Potluck. Costumes optional.

    Thursday, November, 25th, Noon til 4P.M. "One-Heart Community Drum" Thanksgiving Day Meal and Drum Circle. Turkey and dressing will be provided. Bring a dish to pass, and a festive spirit! Meal, followed by an open community drum circle. Location: Lehman Alternative Community School Cafeteria, 111 Chestnut Street, Ithaca, NY.

    Saturday, December 4, 2010 12 noon to 4:30 pm.  One Heart Community Drummers will be sponsoring a special one day drumming workshop with Jeremy Crytzer, to be held at Lehman Alternative Community School, 111 Chestnut St. Ithaca, NY.
    We will be learning rhythms from Guinea and Mali , West Africa , in addition to djembe parts we will also have a chance to learn doundounba parts as well so if you have a doundounba bring it. Some extra drums will be available, but if you have a drum bring it.
    We will have a break in the middle of the program so bring a snack and some to share. We will be taking donations to help pay for Jeremy's time. Hope you can make it!
    Jeremy Crytzer: Learn rhythms from Guinea and Mali , West Africa , on djembe and doun douns with Jeremy Crytzer. Jeremy has studied West African drumming for over 21 years with many master teachers including Karamba Dioubate, Abdoul Doumbia, Yaya Diallo, Mamady Keita, Mbemba Bangoura, and others. He has performed all over the country and facilitated workshops with many of the African masters with whom he studied and played. He has been teaching drum classes since 1999, previously in Tucson , Arizona , and is considered a patient and encouraging but rigorous teacher. Thanks, Joe Lorincz
